The Move Backward command steps the layering position of a symbol backward. The Bring to front and Send to back commands are generally more effective, but there are situations where you want to change the specific layering of symbols. Because each symbol is set to a unique layer, you may need to repeat this command multiple times before you see a change.
To move an object backward:
| 1. | Using the selection tool, select the object that you want to move backward. |
| 2. | Select Edit from the menu bar and then select Move Backward from the Edit menu. You can also access this command by pressing Ctrl+Down keys on your keyboard. |
| 3. | The selected object will be moved one level backward in the layering of symbols. |
