Symbols can be grouped to make working with them easier. For example, if you’ve placed a table lamp on a nightstand and would like to use them together, you can group the two symbols so they can be moved as one object. Symbols can be grouped using the Group Symbols command of the Edit menu.

Grouped symbols can be ungrouped when you no longer need to work with them together. To ungroup symbols, select the grouped symbols and then ungroup them using the Ungroup Symbols command from the Edit menu.
